- Make sure that your cutter is calibrated to read registration marks correctly. The exact procedure will vary depending on manufacturer. Most brands of contour cutter include an offset calibration utility; check your owner's manual for more information.
- Make sure that the RIP software is set to generate the same registration marks that the cutter expects. Using the wrong registration marks can result in inaccuracy or a cutter that refuses to read the marks.
- For Wasatch SoftRIP, make sure that the setup of the cutter unit does not include any margins, centering, and is at the full width of the cutter. Margins and the "Width Center" option in particular will offset the contour cut by several inches or more.
