What can the GO RIO printer be used for?

The GO RIO Printer is configured for printing with GO Xtreme dye sublimation inks onto transfer paper. This is a standard process in the dye sublimation industry, and works with a wide range of polyester and polymer materials.

Applications for polyester materials have become widespread in the industry. Polyester and polyester blend textiles are used for cloth textiles, interior textiles, and technical textiles. In practice, you may find polyester used in apparel (blouses, costumes, dresses, rain coats, t-shirts, sportswear, …), personalized interior (curtains, sheets, upholstery fabric, …), sport goods (snowboards, helmets, …), promotional products (mugs, mouse pads, clocks, …), banners, flags, medical textile, safety belts, canvas, and pennants.

Promotional applications such as trade show and exhibition graphics (carpets, customized banners, booth decorations, floor graphics, POP displays, and posters) are another rapidly growing application for dye sublimation.

When purchasing polyester materials, make sure that the material has not been treated with an optical brightener (a chemical that makes the fabric more UV-reflective, giving it the appearance of a very bright white). Optical brighteners typically degrade under the intense heat of sublimation, causing the material to become yellow after the transfer process has been completed.

The second category of products is poly coated materials for the promotional goods industry. This includes, but is not limited to, mugs and other ceramics, metal sheets, and novelty items such as keychains and coasters.
