Q: What is the maximum image size that can be printed?
A: If you are printing directly through the Windows driver, the maximum print length on the RJ-900 based printers is 62.2" (1580mm). This is due to the way the Windows spooler system is configured.
To bypass this limit, you will need to print through a RIP software such as Wasatch SoftRIP. The Wasatch spooler system allows for much longer layouts of images to be printed. As of version 6.7 of Wasatch, the length limit has been extended, meaning that the machine can print an entire roll of media (over 394 feet) at once.
If you are using another brand of RIP software, check with the manufacturer regarding its maximum capabilities.
