- Make sure proper cartridges are installed for the procedure in process – i.e. cleaning cartridges for the wash cycle
- Verify smart cards are properly positioned on the cartridge. They should be set 19mm from the front (needle) edge of the cartridge and 1mm from the top.
- Verify smart cards have not been erased – install new set of cartridges if available.
- The ValueJet printers set the "Ink Low" flag on the cartridge once it reaches approximately 5% of its rated capacity. Once the machine begins showing "Ink Near End", do NOT remove the cartridge to check it. Removing the cartridge at this point will prevent you from using it again. Instead, wait for the machine to display "Ink End", then replace.
